4muddypawz Cookie and Local Storage Notice

4muddypawz uses necessary cookies and browser storage to run the app, keep you signed in, keep the app secure and remember your choices.

Optional analytics and marketing tools are off until you choose to allow them. You can change your choices at any time using the settings on this page.

Necessary cookies and storage

These are needed for the app to work, so they are used without asking for consent. They support:

• signing in and staying signed in
• account security and bot protection
• limiting free Marker Game reviews and preventing misuse
• carrying your chosen training through sign-up
• keeping track of where you are in a recording, upload or sign-up step
• remembering your cookie choices

Your cookie choice is saved in a cookie and in your browser's local storage under the name muddypawz_cookie_consent, so optional tools can be blocked before they run.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect some public forms, such as the written training-question tool, from bots and automated abuse. In its invisible mode Turnstile runs a background check when you submit the form and may set a strictly necessary cookie or read limited device and browsing signals to tell people apart from bots. The app also uses your browser's session and local storage for app functions, for example to avoid sending the same event twice, to remember progress through a flow and to show your dog's avatar quickly. This information stays in your browser.

Analytics

If you allow analytics, we use:

• Vercel Analytics, to understand which screens are used, where people get stuck and whether the app is performing well. It is not loaded until you allow analytics.
• First-party funnel measurement, which stores a random visitor identifier and how you first arrived at the app (for example the campaign or link), so we can see how many people move through sign-up and their first training clip. It does not contain your email address.

Marketing

If you allow marketing, we use:

• Meta Pixel, which records steps such as page views, sign-up, starting and submitting training clips, and viewing reports, so we can measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram adverts;
• Google Ads, to measure whether our Google adverts lead to people using the app;
• the same first-party funnel measurement described under Analytics.

How the Google Ads tag works. The Google Ads tag loads on every page, but it starts with all advertising and analytics storage switched off. Until you allow marketing, it does not set advertising cookies, although Google may still receive basic, cookieless signals, such as that a page was loaded. When you allow marketing, advertising storage is switched on. We do not use Google Analytics.

Server-side measurement with Meta. If you allow marketing, then when you create an account or submit your first or second training clip, our server also tells Meta that this happened, including a hashed copy of your email address. If you have not allowed marketing, these server-side events are not sent. The Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.

Managing your choices

You can change your cookie choices on this page at any time. If you withdraw consent, optional tools stop loading. If you turn off both analytics and marketing, we also remove the fmp_attribution and fmp_funnel_visitor cookies. Other cookies already set, including those set by Meta or Google, may remain until they expire or you clear them in your browser.

Your browser settings may also let you block or delete cookies, but blocking necessary storage may stop the app working properly.
